Animals in shelters are often scared, stressed, or lonely. A clean space and some loving interaction make all the difference in helping them become adoptable and happy. This is to help out shelter animals and the staff who care for them.
How it works
Volunteers will assist at animal shelters by helping clean enclosures, feed animals, organize food and toys, or simply spend time socializing with animals who need comfort and care. This work supports both animals waiting for forever homes and the shelter staff.
How we count hours
As a reminder, each of our programs tracks volunteer hours in its own unique way. For this program, here’s how hours will be counted:

Hour Calculation: Each hour on-site at the shelter counts as 1 volunteer hour.

Expectations: Arrive on time, follow all staff instructions, and treat all animals with care.
